BCFB Business Member of the Year

LaserMan, Inc. was named the Butte County Farm Bureau 2011 Business Member of the Year because of its continued support for the local agriculture community and especially Farm Bureau. LaserMan, Inc. is owned and operated by Pete and Shelly Eberhardt, and located in Richvale.

Pete started working in the laser industry in 1979 as an installation technician travelling throughout the United States installing laser systems for water management. Pete’s career took him to Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi which finally landed him in Sacramento where he further developed his skills as a Service Manager and continued to advance his knowledge in ag technologies that provide customers with an increase in profitability and accuracy.

As the concept of laser leveling grew rapidly and technologies continued to develop, Pete was presented with many opportunities in the service and sales sector in the Reno and Sacramento areas. He eventually purchased Spectra Physics LaserPlane Nor-Cal in Durham, later incorporating and changing the company name to LaserMan.

LaserMan is the industry leader in providing precision agricultural and construction products, services, and support. They are best known for the wide range of positioning equipment they provide that includes GPS controls, lasers with application software, and services that give growers and contractors a complete solution, from start to finish. Their integrated solutions allow their clients to collect, manage, and analyze complex information making it easier for them to be more productive, efficient, and profitable.

They provide water management tools such as laser leveling and scrapers, systems such as GPS leveling solutions with survey software tools and on-board autopilot steering for general tillage, spraying, planting, and other applications. These tools improve productivity and efficiency for applying chemicals. They also integrate the use of yield monitoring, data collection, and have become very modular and adaptable.
